Kurundu Oya Waterfall
Kurundu Oya at 189 m , is Sri Lanka’s second largest waterfall and is the highest waterfall in the Nuwara District and the highest falls which falls to the Mahaweli River . It is isolated in the hill jungles and set beyond the far end of the Maha Uva Tea Plantation.
Approximately 20 minutes drive up on estate roads from Stafford Bungalow. and trek along the footpath for 1 hour to end up at a scenic spot under the falls and in the vicinity of a mini hydro power station.
The scenery around makes this trek a picturesque journey
